BIOGRAPHY:
Jana
Hofer grew up in the great state of South Dakota where she received
her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from the University of
Sioux Falls. Feeling God's call to serve overseas and having a desire
to explore the field of public health, Jana began seeking God's
direction and was soon led to serve with Food for the Hungry in
Bolivia, South America.
Jana
Hofer has been serving in Sucre, Bolivia for 4 years and in that
time has seen God working in many exciting ways within the communities
where FHI works, the institution itself and also in her own life.
Her part in this work is serving as the Coordinator for IEC (Information,
Education, Communication) for all programs within FHI/Bolivia, including
health, water & sanitation, agriculture and child development.
Her specific duties involve developing holistic educational materials,
implementing behavior change communication strategies and ensuring
appropriate training techniques. Jana's free time lately has been
filled with graduate studies, playing league volleyball, being outdoors
and spending time with friends.
