BIOGRAPHY: I
was born in Japan in 1978. When I was University student, I met
Jesus Christ, and was baptized. I graduated from Tokyo Gakugei University
in 2001 where I studied the sociology of education and education.
At that time, I wanted to become a teacher in Japan, but when I
was a senior in university I participated in a work camp that FHI
Japan organized in Honduras. After that, God called me to serve
the children who are in spiritual and physical poverty in this world.
I didn’t come to this decision for two years. Finally, though,
I responded to obey Him.
REASON
FOR WORKING WITH FHI: During
the work camp in Honduras, I saw that the people found joy in living
and could give thanks to God even though they were really poor physically.
That was when I learned the importance of integral development (spiritual,
physical, social and emotional). That was when my desire was born
to work in FHI as a servant of the people. |
