Child Development Program (CDP) of Food for the Hungry International FHI) is a long term-development program to nurture and help develop individuals to become responsible, God-fearing and reasonably well-equipped young adults. Child Development Program benefits the sponsored child through education (both formal and informal), spiritual nurture, health check-ups, vocational training, clothing and others.

FH/Philippines to date serve a total of 3,000 children in Metro Manila depressed communities and the provinces of Cavite, Laguna and Nueva Ecija. Hopefully sponsorship would expand all over Luzon and the islands of Visayas & Mindanao. For inquires on how to sponsor a child, you may contact fhiphilippines@fhi.net.

QUOTE FROM A CHILD

Rubinel when she was a Grade Five student.

Rubinel is now a first year high school student.

"I am thankful because God is good to me.  I am a sickly girl. I always suffer from asthma but since I became an FHI sponsored child, I received regular check-up. I am no longer absent from school." Rubinel Veraque
